SCHOLAR-ATHLETES HONORED BY GLVC

NKU’s Listerman earns honor for men’s basketball

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Seven student-athletes from the Great Lakes Valley Conference - including Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball player Kevin Listerman - have been named Scholar-Athletes of the Year for their respective sport for the winter and spring seasons of the 1999-2000 year.

These athletes were nominated by their institutions because of excellence on the court/field and in the classroom. The league’s faculty athletic representatives made the selections and were not allowed to vote for students from their own institutions. One student-athlete is honored for each sport.

This year’s winter/spring Scholar-Athletes of the Year include:

• Kevin Listerman, Northern Kentucky, men’s basketball

• Stephanie Hutchcraft, Bellarmine, women’s basketball

• Josh Rabe, Quincy, baseball

• Andrew Majxner, Southern Indiana, men’s tennis

• Joe Koczan, Saint Joseph’s, men’s track and field

• Aria Harriman, Indianapolis, women’s track and field

• Helen Kelliher, Lewis, softball
