HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University freshman first baseman Angie Lindeman has set a Norse single-season record with 36 runs batted in this year. Lindeman, a graduate of Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio, surpassed the previous record of 32 RBI, set by Wendi Lakes in 1989. Lindeman leads the Great Lakes Valley Conference in hitting with a .440 batting average, and she also has 12 doubles and four triples. NKU, now 33-9 going into this weekend, needs just two wins to tie the school record for most victories (35 in 1989). The Norse are ranked No. 19 nationally in the Division II poll. |
