LANDRUM WINS MEDAL AT HOLIDAY INN CLASSIC

Norse junior wins playoff with birdie

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University golfer Steve Landrum won a playoff with a birdie on the second hole Sunday to capture medalist honors at the Holiday Inn Classic at A.J. Jolly Golf Course.

Landrum, a junior, finished with a two-day total of 144. He defeated Rory Ransburg of Indianapolis and Scott Steward of Quincy in the playoff to earn the medal.

As a team, NKU posted a second-place finish with a total of 605, 18 strokes behind first-place Indianapolis (587).

In the women’s tournament, NKU’s Breanne Hall captured second-place honors in the individual competition with a two-day total of 162. The Norse posted a sixth-place finish in the team standings with a two-day score of 745.
