Keyer-Scott shoots 1-over-par 73 Monday |

ANDERSON, S.C. - North Greenville posted five scores in the 70s to take a one-shot lead over Queens University of Charlotte and host Anderson College in the first round of the second annual Anderson College Invitational Monday at the par-72 Brookstone Meadows course. In the womens tournament, Northern Kentucky Universitys Kim Keyer-Scott shot a 1-over-73 to lead the Norse to a total of 319 and a 14-stroke lead. NKUs Leslie Fossitt shot an 80, while Lindsay Newton and Briana Berryman both finished with 83. Keyer-Scott shot a 1-under-35 on the back nine to seize a four-stroke lead over Kristen Kyle of Catawba and a five-shot lead over Gretchen McLeod of Queens of Charlotte and Annabel Fernandez of Lincoln Memorial. The NKU men received a 73 from Curtis Phelps and a 74 from Rob Martin and are three shots back in the team competition at 305. The second round will begin Tuesday at 9 a.m. |
