Landrum earns medal as Norse win first-ever GLVC title |

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Northern Kentucky University mens golfer Steve Landrum won medalist honors with a final score of 221 Tuesday as the Norse captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships with a score of 903 at the par-72 Kampen Golf Course at Purdue University. NKU entered the final 27 holes on Tuesday trailing Wisconsin-Parkside by three strokes, but the Norse rallied behind the play of Landrum (3-over-par 75, and a 1-over-par 73 in the final two rounds) and freshman Brandon Brown (a 4-under-par 68, and a 5-over-par 77 in the final two rounds) to win the GLVC title for the first time in school history. Landrum, a junior, was named GLVC Player of the Year for taking the medal. NKU head coach Daryl Landrum earned GLVC Coach of the Year honors, and Brown earned All-GLVC honors. Prior to Tuesday, NKUs best finish at the GLVC Championships was second (in 1985 and 1995). TEAM
