NORSE IN SECOND PLACE AFTER 1ST ROUND

NKU’s Landrum leads the individual competition

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Northern Kentucky University men’s golfer Steve Landrum sits atop the leader board after the first 27 holes of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships with a score of 108 at the par-72 Kampen Golf Course at Purdue University.

Landrum shot a 1-over-par 73 for the first 18 holes on Monday, and he completed the final nine holes of the first round with a score 35. NKU is in second place in the team standings with a score of 449, three strokes behind first-place Wisconsin-Parkside (446).

NKU’s Brandon Brown finished with a 112 on Monday and is in third place. Brandon Parsons (114, +6), Scott Stark (115, +7) and Josh Jarvi (119, +11) are also competing for the Norse.

The final 27 holes will be played on Tuesday.
