Norse senior earns honor for second straight year |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University volleyball player Bethany Gastright has been named All-Great Lakes Region by the American Volleyball Coaches of America. Gastright, a senior outside hitter and a graduate of Holy Cross High School, earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year honors this season. She finished with 553 kills and a .306 hitting percentage this season while leading the Norse to their fifth consecutive GLVC championship. Gastright finished her career as NKUs all-time career leader with 1,702 kills, and this is the second straight season she has been named All-Great Lakes Region. As a result of being named All-Region, Gastright will now be on the AVCA Division II All-America ballot.
