NKU ties for second place at NCAA II District IV Tournament |

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. - Northern Kentucky University freshman golfer Brandon Brown shot a 2-under-par 70 Monday to capture the medal at the NCAA II District IV Tournament with a two-day total of 144 at the par-72 Hawkshead Links Course. Brown shot a 2-over-par 74 during Sundays first round and trailed Ferris States Chad Tate by three strokes going into Mondays final round. Tate, however, shot a 2-over-par 74 on Monday, and Brown captured the medal by shooting a 70 during the final round. Ryan Mouw of Grand Valley State shot a 3-under-par 69 on Monday to finish one stroke behind Brown with a two-day total of 145. NKUs Steve Landrum shot rounds of 74-74 to finish with a 148 and tied for fifth place. NKU posted a second-place finish in the team standings with a score of 597, three strokes behind first-place Findlay (594). Grand Valley State tied NKU for second with 597.
