CRAWFORD NAMED WOMENS TENNIS COACH |
NKUs Crawford to coach both mens and womens tennis teams |
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University athletic director Jane Meier announced Thursday that Geoff Crawford has been named head coach for the Norses womens tennis program. Crawford, who has been at NKU since 1990 as the mens tennis head coach, will add the womens tennis duties this fall. He takes over for J. Webb Horton, who resigned as the NKU womens tennis head coach to accept a position at Florida Gulf Coast University. Geoff is very familiar with our womens tennis team, and this is a good opportunity, Meier said, noting NKU has won three consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference championships. We have some very good players returning, and I think that Geoffs background and experience make him an ideal candidate to keep the program successful. Crawford has led the NKU mens tennis team to five consecutive winning seasons. He will inherit a womens program that features three-time GLVC Player of the Year Jamie OHara. |
