LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Conor McGeehan went 3-for-5 with two doubles and five runs batted in during the second game as the Northern Kentucky University baseball team defeated Bellarmine University, 9-2, to earn a split of a doubleheader on Wednesday. Keith Jackson was 2-for-5 and scored three runs as NKU evened its record at 16-16 overall, 9-9 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Craig Craddock added two hits and scored twice for the Norse, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Senior right-hander Chris Unkraut allowed just two runs and earned the victory. In the opener, Bellarmine took advantage of seven NKU errors to post a 9-6 win over the Norse. Bellarmine scored six unearned runs in the opener, and the Knights broke a 5-5 tie in the fourth inning by scoring four times. Micah McNatt picked up the complete-game victory for Bellarmine - which committed four errors - by scattering six hits and allowing two earned runs. Jackson was 3-for-4 with two runs scored to pace the NKU offense in the first game. NKU will meet Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in a four-game series this weekend at the Bill Aker Baseball Complex at Friendship Field.
