Norse right-hander scatters six hits in 5-2 victory |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Lenny Bays allowed just six hits en route to a complete-game victory Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University baseball team defeated Quincy University, 5-2, at the Bill Aker Baseball Complex at Friendship Field. Bays, a senior right-hander who is now 7-2 this season, had six strikeouts and walked just one. Beau Brake picked up three runs batted in to lead the NKU attack, and Justin Rahschulte was 3-for-3 with an RBI. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed due to rain, and the two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at noon on Sunday. NKU is now 26-21 overall, 16-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse are ranked No. 3 in the latest NCAA II North Central Region poll. |
