INDIANAPOLIS SWEEPS DOUBLEHEADER FROM NKU
NKUs Aker denied 800th career victory as Indy wins twice
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The University of Indianapolis baseball team swept a doubleheader from Northern Kentucky University on Wednesday by scores of 3-0 and 11-1 at Friendship Field.
NKU head coach Bill Aker needed just one win on Wednesday to pick up his 800th career victory with the Norse, but his team scored just one run in the two games against Indianapolis. In the opener, Scott Abercrombie allowed just three hits en route to the shutout.
In the nightcap, Dustin Waalkens pitched a complete game for Indianapolis (22-14) and recorded the victory.
NKU (20-16) will play host to Missouri-St. Louis in a doubleheader at noon Saturday.
