Norse sophomore named GLVC Player of the Year |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University mens tennis player Amine Benjelloun has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year by the league coaches. Benjelloun, a sophomore No. 1 singles player for the Norse, was 7-0 in the regular season against GLVC foes. He helped NKU post a 13-11 record and advance to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in school history. NKUs Billy Hopkins, a graduate of Beechwood High School, earned GLVC Freshman of the Year honors. Hopkins was 6-0 against GLVC foes in No. 4 singles competition this spring.
