Kristin
Perkins begins her second season as a graduate assistant volleyball
coach at Northern Kentucky University. Perkins (nee Koralewski)
played three seasons at NKU while earning a degree in sports business.
Perkins is currently finishing up work on her master’s degree
at NKU.
A two-time American
Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II All-American, Perkins
finished her three-year career at NKU with 1,485 kills and 1,192
digs. She was also named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of
the Year as a junior and senior.
Perkins also
was twice named AVCA National Player of the Week while at NKU. She
was a first team All-America selection in 2003, and she was named
second team All-American in 2004.
In addition,
Perkins was named a recipient of the 2005 Margery Rouse Athlete
of Distinction Award.
A native of
Muskego, Wis., Perkins played at Northern Michigan University prior
to transferring to NKU. In 2000, she was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
