----NKU’s Kristina Eisenmenger

QUINCY, Ill. - From an attacker's point of view, it was nearly a perfect game for Northern Kentucky University's Kristina Eisenmenger.

Eisenmenger recorded 15 kills and a .789 hitting percentage Friday night as NKU rolled past Quincy, 30-25, 30-15, 30-18, in the Pepsi Arena. The sophomore right-side hitter collected her 15 kills in 19 attempts with no errors.

Liz Holmes added 16 kills and attacked at a .464 clip for the Norse, who improved to 12-8 overall, 6-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU hit .355 as a team and upped its lead in the all-time series with Quincy to 20-1.

The Norse’s only defeat to Quincy came on Sept. 11, 1998, when the Lady Hawks outlasted NKU in five games at Quincy, Ill.

Holmes, a junior middle hitter, now has 1,089 career kills at NKU. She needs 28 kills to move into ninth place on the Norse's all-time career list.

Andrea Lanham dished out 44 assists and had four kills for NKU. Lanham increased her career assists total to 4,137, and she is just the second player in Norse history to surpass 4,000 assists.

Norse freshman Andrea Price finished with nine kills and a .333 hitting percentage. NKU limited Quincy (4-14 overall, 1-7 GLVC) to a .101 hitting percentage, and the Norse defense finished with a 45-40 edge in digs.

Freshman Lindsay Zumdick led the back row by collecting 11 digs. She also served up two aces for the Norse, who extended their winning streak to four.

NKU concludes its road trip Saturday with a GLVC match at Missouri-St. Louis. The Norse return home Oct. 6 to meet GLVC-leading Southern Illinois at Edwardsville in Regents Hall.
