---Shatona Campbell's bases-loaded walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth inning gave NKU a 7-6 victory in Game 2.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Shatona Campbell’s run-scoring single in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted Northern Kentucky University to a 7-6 win over Quincy in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday at the Frank Ignatius Grein Softball Field.

The victory allowed NKU to split the doubleheader and finish the season with a 20-28 overall record. The Norse posted a 9-17 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Quincy finished with a 28-18 overall record, 12-12 in the GLVC. The Lady Hawks were eliminated from GLVC Tournament contention with the loss in the nightcap.

Stephanie West led off the bottom of the 10th inning for NKU with a single and advanced to second on Rose Broderick’s sacrifice bunt. With the bases loaded and two out, Campbell singled on a 1-1 pitch to drive in West and give the Norse the season-ending victory.

Campbell went 3-for-4 for NKU, which finished with 20 hits. West and Amanda Smith each went 3-for-6. Smith also hit her second home run of the season for the Norse, while teammate Cara Parker smashed her fifth homer of the spring.

Sam Del Vecchio was 2-for-4 with two RBI for NKU. Sarah Ormond went 3-for-6 with a homer and three RBI to lead Quincy.

In the opener Sunday, Quincy defeated NKU, 3-0. Torie Bunzell scattered four hits and struck out 11 batters for the Lady Hawks.

Jordan Hilliard’s two-run homer in the second inning gave Quincy a 2-0 lead, and that was all Bunzell would need.
