MISSION, Kan. - Jayme Light of the Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team was named to the NSCAA/adidas All-Great Lakes Region second team this week.

Light ended her career at NKU as one of its all-time greatest scorers. Light's 31 goals during her four years lands her fifth among the Norse greats. In 2007, Light picked up six goals before an injury ended her season prematurely. Her leadership both on and off the field during her senior campaign helped push the Norse to a 12-6 record.

Light earned the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week award on Sept. 10 after notching a goal against both Lewis and UW-Parkside, rounding out a pair of key wins for the Norse early in the season.

Light was also named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference third team for her efforts.

In 2006, Light was named to the Daktronics All-Great Lakes Region second team.
