By Mike Anderson, NKU Sports Information KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team clinched a home game in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament next weekend with a 1-0 victory over Rockhurst on Friday. Brandi Doss had the marker in the 10th minute, scoring off a rebound from Kara Costello's shot to net her first goal of the year and push NKU to 12-4 overall and 8-4 in the GLVC. Jenna Kramer made five saves in net to pick up the win for the Norse. With the victory, the Norse can finish no lower than fourth in the GLVC standings, insuring they will host a first-round match. The Norse will complete their regular season Sunday afternoon with a matinee against Drury. NKU returns home to host the GLVC quarterfinals Oct. 28 against an opponent to be determined. |
