HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer player Kristen Votapek has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV second team.

ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams were selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Votapek, a senior and a graduate of Amelia High School in Cincinnati, leads the Great Lakes Valley Conference in goals scored (15) and assists (16). She is also an Academic All-GLVC performer who has led NKU to a 16-2 record this fall and a No. 6 ranking in the latest Division II national poll.

NKU is the No. 1 seed in the GLVC Tournament and will play host to Rockhurst at 5 p.m. Friday at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
