Northwood University advanced to the Round of 16 in the NCAA
Division II Women's Tennis Tournament with a 5-2 victory of No.
4 seed Northern Kentucky Friday morning.
The Timberwolves
now advance to the round of 16, which will be held in Houston
May 14.
NU is now 18-3
overall on the season. Northern Kentucky finishes its season
at 18-5.
Northwood won
the first two doubles matches before the Norse earned a win at
the No. 3 to send the contest to singles
with
the Timberwolves
leading 2-1. NU earned the overall victory by earning straight-set
wins at the top three singles positions.
