INDIANAPOLIS
- The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team got another
key victory in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, defeating
Indianapolis by a score of 7-2.
The Norse had
to come from behind in a couple of instances, with Patricia Brinck
and Maggie Koetter
coming back from 1-4 down to
take a 9-7 win over Aly Neidlinger and Kristen Volz in the No.
3 doubles flight.
Brinck also
had to come back in her singles flight, defeating Lindsey Fischer,
0-6, 6-0, 6-2 for the win.
Northern Kentucky
(13-3, 8-1 GLVC) has already clinched a spot in the GLVC Tournament,
and will
close the regular season at
home this weekend against Lewis and Saint Joseph's.
