HIGHLAND HEIGHTS,
Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team may
have put its Great Lakes Valley Conference playoff hopes in jeopardy
on Saturday, falling to Missouri-St. Louis by a 7-2 score.
Michael
Volkov and Jon Raley teamed to take their doubles flight, 8-4,
over Peter Hantack and Andre Chemas, while Jason Kramer won
NKU's lone singles flight with a super-tiebreaker win over Tim
Bryant, 6-3, 4-6, (10-7).
Northern Kentucky
(5-11, 2-5 GLVC) currently stands in seventh place in the league,
tied with Quincy. The
Norse hold the tiebreaker
against the Hawks by virtue of their 5-0 victory over Quincy
on Friday.
The Norse travel to face Indianapolis on Tuesday.
