HIGHLAND HEIGHTS,
Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis
team got back on the winning track Saturday afternoon with an
8-1 decision over Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Rockhurst.
The
Norse, ranked No. 6 in this week’s NCAA Division II Great
Lakes regional rankings, was efficient in victory, winning all
three doubles matches and taking the bottom three singles flights
to claim quick victory.
Stephanie Isaacs
came back from a 6-4 defeat in her first set against Caitlin
Buckely to post a 6-0 win in the second set and a 10-7 win in
the super tiebreaker.
Northern Kentucky
(9-2, 4-1 GLVC) will host GLVC rival Kentucky Wesleyan on Monday
at the Yeager Tennis Complex.
