HILTON HEAD,
S.C. – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis
team got its biggest win of the season on Thursday, defeating
Northeast-10 leading Bryant, 7-2, to close out Spring Break.
After the doubles flights finished in short order, with the Norse
taking two of three, Patricia Brinck, playing in the No. 1 singles
flight, had to come back from a first-set
defeat
to
take
her
match
against
Emma
Czarnecki,
2-6, 7-5, 10-7.
Maggie Koetter remained perfect in the No. 6 singles, defeating
Lauren Mullen, 6-2, 6-4, to go to 4-0 on the season.
Northern Kentucky (4-1) opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play
on March 21 when the Norse host Bellarmine.
