HILTON HEAD,
S.C. -- The Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis
team got its first win of the season, defeating Charleston (W.
Va.) by a 6-3 team total on Sunday.
The dominance
came from the depth of the Norse team, with the No. 2 doubles
flight of Emily Okerson and Michelle Schirrman and the No. 3
flight
of Patricia Brinck and Maggie Koetter winning their matches,
8-2 and 8-1 respectively.
Schirrman,
Okerson and Koetter each enjoyed singles victories as well, with Kristen
Sunday joining in the singles success.
Northern
Kentucky (1-1) returns to action tomorrow against Wheaton (Mass.).
