WILDER, Ky. - Alex Allison scored a goal and assisted two others Tuesday as Northern Kentucky University rolled to a 5-1 victory over Bellarmine at the Town & Country Sports Complex.

Tony Capurro added two assists for NKU, which improved to 7-2-1 overall, 4-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse built a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Allison and Chad Cook, and NKU poured in three second-half goals.

Andy Bacon, Tab Bere and Jim Delaney also added goals for NKU, which finished with a 13-6 edge in shot attempts. Bellarmine dropped to 5-5 overall, 3-4 in the GLVC.

NKU, which has won three straight games, hits the road for GLVC games at Wisconsin-Parkside (Friday) and Lewis (Sunday) this weekend. Wisconsin-Parkside is ranked 24th nationally in the Division II poll, and Lewis is 15th.

A year ago in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament, sixth-seeded NKU stunned third-seeded Wisconsin-Parkside, 2-1, at Kenosha, Wis. The Norse took advantage of an own goal in the second half to beat the Rangers in that game.
