HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University's Matt Marksbury has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week. Marksbury, a senior and a graduate of Norwood High School, hurled a complete-game shutout during a 2-0 victory over Missouri-St. Louis in the GLVC opener. The 6-foot-2 right-hander surrendered just two hits and one walk in the outing while striking out 10 batters. It was the 13th career complete game for Marksbury, who is now 2-0 on the season with a 2.05 earned run average. NKU will begin a three-game series against Southern Indiana at noon Saturday with a doubleheader at Champion Window Field in Florence, Ky. The two teams will conclude the series at noon Sunday with a single game. NKU - which
