HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University golfers Jonathan Ehlen and David Shearer were named to the PING Division II All-Great Lakes Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America this week.

Ehlen, a senior, also earned All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors after a stellar season, including a second place finish at the GOLFEXCHANGEKY.com Classic at Eagle Creek. Ehlen shot an even-par 140 in the two-day event.

Shearer, also a senior on Daryl Landrum's squad, earned GLVC Player of the Year honors by capturing the medal with a 3-over-par 219 at the GLVC Championships at Otter Creek in Columbus, Ind. It marked the third consecutive year Shearer has walked away with the award, and helped the Norse gain their second straight GLVC title.

The PING Division II All-American team will be announced following the conclusion of the NCAA Championships.
