FINDLAY, Ohio - Mallory Fleming recorded 18 kills and 10 digs Saturday night to lead the University of Findlay to a 30-25, 35-33, 30-21 win over Northern Kentucky University.

NKU managed just a .183 hitting percentage against Findlay (6-1) and dropped to 3-4 with its fourth straight defeat. Earlier on Saturday, the Norse fell to Hillsdale (Mich.) College in five games.

Freshman Liz Holmes led NKU against Findlay with 13 kills and 14 digs. She also had a .400 hitting percentage and two block assists.

Sophomore setter Andrea Lanham picked up 28 assists and eight kills, and she finished with a .467 hitting percentage. Kristin Koralewski - who joined NKU’s 1,000-kills club earlier on Saturday - added nine kills and 14 digs for the Norse.

Koralewski, a senior outside hitter in her third year with the Norse, now has 1,019 career kills at NKU. She ranks No. 10 in Norse history with that total.

NKU won the blocking battle against Findlay by an 18-11 margin, but the Oilers served up 11 aces. NKU, meanwhile, finished with three aces.

A year ago, Findlay defeated NKU twice in the regular season. The Norse, however, posted a victory against the Oilers during the NCAA Division II Tournament at Marquette, Mich.

NKU will travel to Ashland, Ohio, this Friday to meet Walsh (Ohio) University and West Virginia Wesleyan College.
