NKU SWEEPS BY PANTHERS IN THREE

Koralewski leads way with 12 kills as NKU wins at KWC

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Kristin Koralewski recorded 12 kills, four service aces and a .526 hitting percentage Wednesday night to lead Northern Kentucky University to a 30-15, 30-16, 30-6 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Maggie Pugh added 10 kills and a .769 hitting percentage as NKU snapped a two-match losing streak and improved to 9-6 overall, 2-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Pugh collected the 10 kills in 13 attempts without an error and also added two blocks.

Tristen Dye finished with 11 kills and five service aces for NKU, which attacked at a .506 clip for the match. The Norse limited Kentucky Wesleyan (0-12 overall, 0-4 GLVC) to a .024 hitting percentage, and the Panthers managed just 12 digs the entire match.

Koralewski, who added seven digs against Kentucky Wesleyan, now has 1,156 career kills at NKU. She needs 28 kills to pass Peggy Ziegler (1,183) for seventh place on the NKU all-time list.

Sophomore setter Andrea Lanham recorded 40 assists and converted all six of her attacks. Lynne Fischesser collected seven kills and a .500 hitting percentage, while teammate Amber Timmons picked up 15 digs.

Megan Seegert finished with six kills and three blocks for NKU, which is 29-0 all-time against Kentucky Wesleyan.

The Norse will play at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 8 p.m. Friday, followed by a 3 p.m. match at Lewis University on Saturday.
