Koralewski tallies 26 kills, 14 digs as Norse win in four games |

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Kristin Koralewski reached another career milestone Saturday and helped the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team pick up an important road victory against Lewis University. Koralewski finished with 26 kills, 14 digs and a .458 hitting percentage as NKU posted a 30-26, 17-30, 30-22, 30-26 win over Lewis. The senior outside hitter moved into seventh place in Norse history with 1,203 career kills, and she also recorded her 1,000th career dig at NKU. Koralewski, a first team All-American last season, now has 1,009 digs in three years with the Norse. She is just the sixth player in NKU history to record both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. Liz Holmes added 15 kills, six blocks and a .407 hitting percentage for NKU, which improved to 10-7 overall, 3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse hit .279 as a team and overcame 17 service errors to defeat the host Flyers (10-7 overall, 3-4 GLVC). Andrea Lanham picked up a double-double with 59 assists and 12 digs for NKU, which has won 12 of its last 13 matches against Lewis on the Flyers home floor. Lynne Fischesser posted 12 kills and added 11 digs. Koralewski, Holmes and Fischesser each finished with two service aces. NKU limited Lewis to a .219 hitting percentage and held a 64-50 advantage in digs. Amber Timmons picked up nine digs for the Norse, while Tristen Dye added seven kills and seven digs. NKU will play host to Ashland University at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Regents Hall. |
