NKU golfer named GLVC Scholar Athlete of the Year |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky Universitys Kim Keyer-Scott has been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year in womens golf. Keyer-Scott, a senior and a native of Cincinnati, is a criminal justice major with a 3.719 cumulative grade point average. Her performance in the fall helped NKU win its second conference title in three years. Individually, she tied for second at the GLVC Championships during the fall with a score of 153. Keyer-Scott is also a three-time Division II All-American, and she won the medal at the GLVC Championships in 2003 to earn GLVC Player of the Year honors. The GLVC selects one student-athlete in each conference sport to be designated the GLVC Scholar Athlete of the Year. This award is based upon academic excellence, academic performance, and athletic accomplishments. Each conference member has the opportunity to nominate one individual from its team for the award. Nominees must have a cumulative grade point average which meets the Academic All-American standards. |
